WELCOME!

Welcome to TANJULE Rhythmic Gymnastics

REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE:

At the beginning of each year or when your child starts their gymnastics journey with Tanjule Rhythmic Gymnastics, we require a completed annual registration form,  you can get this form from a Tanjule Committee member (located in the foyer).

Each gymnast is required to be registered and insured through Gymnastics South Australia. This is a once-a-year-only payment and will need to be payed within the first couple of training’s.

It is important for us to have our gymnasts’ medical information and parent contact numbers, before gymnasts are left in our care at training. This is an annual insurance and GSA affiliation fee, and must be paid within the first 2 weeks.

APPARATUS:

We currently have apparatus available to new gymnasts to use while at training. You do not need to purchase your own apparatus until you are in competition levels (level 3 junior and up).
Once you know which apparatus you would like to purchase, please see a Tanjule Committee member to see what we currently have in stock, or you are welcome to order your own. Please discuss with your coach what apparatus is right for you, before ordering, as there are different sizes and there may be some secondhand ones available to you. We sell ropes, which are cut to each individual gymnast at the club for $15, hoops from $15, balls from $15, clubs from $15, ribbons from $20 and ribbon sticks from $20.

We purchase apparatus from –

TRAINING:

First lesson is FREE for new gymnasts. If parents wish to stay and watch their child, they can do so from the foyer and can only enter the gymnasium during set up/pack up. Should you need to speak to your gymnast’s coach, please make it during setup or after lessons or contact the club by email. This eliminates disruption to our busy training’s, and allows for the best coaching possible.

All gymnasts are asked to please arrive 5 minutes before training to help with the setup of the mats. The same applies at pack up time please. Many hands make light work.

Gymnasts are asked to wear fitted clothing – leotards, crop tops and bike shorts. In winter, leggings and a tight-fitting top may be worn. Tanjule has our own range of clothing merchandise. If you wish to purchase Tanjule apparel or bags please see a Tanjule Committee member. It is important that training clothes are tight -fitting to enable coaches to easily see the gymnast’s body movements, and ensure they are being performed correctly, without risk of injury. Leotards and sportswear can be bought at the club. We also have secondhand items for sale. You are welcome to bring outgrown club leotards to re-sell.

Hair is to be worn in either a bun or ponytail as getting hair in your face is distracting to both you and your coach. Individual coaches may have a preference to how they would like gymnasts to wear their hair, so please check with your gymnasts coach.

Please remember to bring your water bottle. There are facilities at the gymnasium to refill drink bottles if required.

All gymnasts are to be collected from inside the foyer / training hall. Gymnasts are not to leave training, without their parent or pick-up person.
